- Dear Macintosh Experts,
-
- I write as a relative newcomer to the Mac, and via MacApp at that, which not
- only allows you to start producing applications much more quickly, but makes it
- unnecessary to learn many of the secrets of IM I-V etc, previously essential
- knowledge.
-
- ...except... I am currently struggling with a bug which sometimes shows up with
- a string range check exception into MacsBug. I've traced it to some B Tree
- routines that I've purchased (B-Tree Helper from (M)agreeable). I now think
- that it could be a problem relating to SEGMENTATION: the B Tree routines use
- their own segment names, but I've now changed them all to MacApp's ARes. The
- question is - (again - I speak from ignorance of the low level Mac): could the
- wrong segment names cause weird behaviour?
-
- Any clues must appreciated. Meanwhile, its back to IM, Mac Revealed,
- MacsBug...
