  11. I write as a relative newcomer to the Mac, and via MacApp at that, which not
  12. only allows you to start producing applications much more quickly, but makes it
  13. unnecessary to learn many of the secrets of IM I-V etc, previously essential
  14. knowledge.

  16. ...except... I am currently struggling with a bug which sometimes shows up with
  17. a string range check exception into MacsBug.  I've traced it to some B Tree
  18. routines that I've purchased (B-Tree Helper from (M)agreeable).  I now think
  19. that it could be a problem relating to SEGMENTATION: the B Tree routines use
  20. their own segment names, but I've now changed them all to MacApp's ARes.  The
  21. question is - (again - I speak from ignorance of the low level Mac):  could the
  22. wrong segment names cause weird behaviour?

  24. Any clues must appreciated.  Meanwhile, its back to IM, Mac Revealed,
  25. MacsBug...
